“We are very grateful to Eesha and A Little Something for donating toys to our annual Home for the Holidays event here at A Place Called Home. This event is a staple in our community, ensuring that families in South Central Los Angeles are able to celebrate the holidays with gifts and other treats. It is a big undertaking for us, and it would not be possible without the support of partners like A Little Something.”
– Katie Alheim, APCH Chief Development Officer
A Little Something is a wonderful community initiative. In providing needed materials to various communities, it also brightens children’s days with its emphasis on presentation and comfort. Its care package creation process is well organized, directly targeting gaps in hygiene and education through strong communication with communities. SPARK values its partnership with A Little Something, because together we are able to supplement a high quality education with the materials needed to implement what one learns.

Early education and care lay the foundation for lifelong growth and opportunity, especially in underserved areas. We provided four different tiers of support for nurseries, including infant, toddler, pre-k, and household items, ensuring families have access to the appropriate resources at each developmental stage, fostering the well-being of young children.

Empowering individuals with developmental and physical disabilities is central to our mission of inclusivity and care. Our kits, which consist of educational supplies and activities tailored to diverse developmental needs, ensure that children in special needs communities receive both the support and opportunities they need to thrive and grow.

We believe every community deserves access to basic health, hygiene, and educational resources, regardless of geographic or economic barriers. Our work ranges from addressing period poverty through the distribution of menstrual pads to providing over 1,000 packages containing hygiene and first aid kits to schools, aiming to bridge critical resource gaps and promote health and equity in underserved areas.

For children undergoing hospital treatment, the experience can be stressful and isolating. To help make their time in hospitals more bearable, we provide personalized care packages, designed to bring comfort, happiness, and hope, while creating a more positive and supportive environment for young patients.
